PA Vets

The Animal Hospital on the Golden Strip team of skilled veterinarians welcomes you to our practice. Proudly serving the Williamsport and Loyalsock Township areas. At The Animal Hospital on the Golden Strip, it is our daily privilege to provide quality vet care to your cherished pet, with compassion and competence. We hope to ensure a positive impact on our patients, pet owners and the local community.


Dr. Laura Williams

Dr. Laura joined the Hospital in February 2014. She is originally from North Carolina. She went to undergraduate school at UNC-Asheville, then attended veterinary school at North Carolina State University. After finishing school, she practiced some mixed animal medicine for 5 years. While in Tennessee she owned/partnered with the Animal Hospital on Signal Mountain for 15 years. Currently, she lives on a farm in Williamsport with several cats, dogs, horses, goats and more. Many of them are rescue animals. She has many interests but prefers the outdoor activities the best, especially hiking with family, friends and pets.


Dr. Christine Pifer

Dr. Christine Pifer joined the practice in June 2015. She grew up in Lewisberry, PA, located just south of Harrisburg. She received her bachelor's degree in Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences from the Pennsylvania State University in 2011 and received her DVM degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2015. Dr. Pifer is married to her husband, Brett, and they love spending time together outdoors, hiking, biking and kayaking. In her spare time she also enjoys reading, baking and playing the piano.

Dr. Ellen Weaver

Dr. Ellen Weaver grew up in Lakeland, FL where she attended undergrad at Florida Southern College. She then moved to Virginia and attended vet school at Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine. During vet school, Dr. Weaver was active in clubs and participated in V.T. Therapy Pets with her greyhound, Warrior. Currently, she resides in Montoursville with her husband and enjoys spending time with family, trying new restaurants and exploring the area.


Dr. Corey Saunders

Dr. Corey Saunders joined the practice in February 2018. He grew up on a farm in Iowa. He attended undergraduate at Teikyo Westmar University in LeMars, IA and then proceeded to Iowa State University where he received his DVM degree. After graduation, he moved to Phoenix, AZ and practiced there for nine years. He then practiced in New York City, NY for 9 years. He has one Chihuahua, one Sheltie, and one Collie. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family and dogs.
